Following the ordinances of God and under the authority of the FREE METHODIST CHURCH in Bridgeport - CT, our main goal is to teach the love of Jesus through action, where we help to meet the needs of extreme difficulty in our local community, but also around the world. Through actions of love and compassion, we are able to nurture behaviors and abilities of individuals with difficulty so that they become independent and inserted in the community.
The Friends of America project was created by a member of the Bridgeport Free Methodist Church, who hada desire in his heart to help the village of Almandina in Bahia (Brazil) with food and the word of Jesus. It was with this desire that everything began. The Friends of America project blessed the village of Almandina in Bahia (Brazil) for many years, building a professional training center with computer classes. With the professional training center, the students became teachers and were thus able to start a new cycle in their village, helping local residents to develop new ideas for local growth. Today the project is in several countries helping people and missionaries.
The team is made up of volunteer members of the Free Methodist Church, who donate their time to help others.
